Forever Polished Coco and Cherry

Hello! Today I have two Forever Polished holo's to show off! Who doesn't love a holo? If you haven't tried Forever Polished before, I think you need to put it down on your to try list. Forever Polished can be purchased on ETSY. Mini bottles are $5.00 US and large bottles are $8.00. Shipping is available to the US and Canada at this time. All polishes are 3 free. You can also look for updates on FACEBOOK.

Coco is a golden brown based non linear holo. Applied smoothly with very minimal brush strokes. Pics show 2 coats of Coco with no top coat. This was almost a one coater! Just a few thinner spots that needed a 2nd coat.

Cherry is a medium pink non linear holographic. Formula on this was much thinner then Coco, but still applied easily. The coats built up nicely. Photos show 3 coats with no top coat. It's nice and squishy looking!
No brush strokes.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I hope you enjoyed it.

Black Sheep Lacquer - Dropkick and Falling Sky

To steal Erin (the creators) own tag line "Cruelty Free Hand Made Kick Ass Nail Polish"
Don't you love that opening. Black Sheep Lacquer is a new Canadian indie polish maker that opened shop on January 12th, 2013. Full size bottles retail for between $8.00 to $10.00 cdn and minis are $4.00 to $5.00 cdn. You can find her Etsy shop HERE. Shipping is available everywhere and costs vary depending on location. You can also follow on FACEBOOK or Erin's BLOG. On to the polish...

Falling Sky is a holographic glitter base with small black squares and stars. I didn't have to fish out any of the stars. They magically appeared on their own. You could wear this on it's own. I'm sure it will appear more opaque on shorter nails. Since I have issues with VNL, in the future I would layer this. Applied easily. No formula issues at all. Fast drying as well.  Photos show 2 coats of Falling Sky.

Dropkick is a shamrock green creme polish with a wax like finish. I tried my best to capture the waxiness in the photos, but it didn't quite translate. These photos are all with 1 coat. Yes ONE coat. The formula on this is thick and you have to apply carefully. It didn't self level very well, so you can see some of my go overs on the nail. At least now I know for next time and will be more careful. I also noticed some bubbling. I honestly think this was because I didn't even remotely wait for my base coat to dry. I definitely see this being used in a St. Patty's day mani! Pics are without top coat. Dried really fast!

Make sure to check out all Erin's pages for more of her creations. I also have a few more to swatch for you. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the polish world today.

Gloss n Sparkle polish!

These are my very first Gloss n Sparkle's that I recently purchased from Llarowe. They retail for $13.00 a bottle. I'll be showing you Frazzle Berry, Edge of The World and Decadence!
All photos are 2 coats, no undies. I would suggest that a 3rd coat is needed to completely get rid of VNL. To the naked eye, 2 coats is fine, but once in bright light you notice that they aren't quite fully opaque. All three polishes had a great formula. No issues with application at all.

Frazzle Berry is a raspberry jelly base polish with cranberry, dark green, and red hexes with silver shards.

Edge of the World is a dark teal green jelly with blue, green, and micro holographic glitters.

Decadence a red hued purple jelly base packed with silver micro glitters and blue micro flakes. Really impressive in the sun!

I have 3 more Gloss n Sparkles to try. I can't wait, I really loved these three. Again, I purchased these at Llarowe. For more details on the brand and where else you can purchase please visit their website.

Candy Lacquer Valentines polish

I apologize for not posting in a bit. But I'm back with Valentine's polish from Candy Lacquer, so I hope that makes up for my absence!
Warning: This post is pic heavy. They were so pretty I couldn't help it!

Up first is Vintage Valentine. Applies very nicely even though the base is a bit thick. No digging for glitter needed, even the bigger hearts. I have 2 coats of Vintage Valentine over Butter London Fiver. Close up shows 2 coats of Vintage Valentine over a clear base so you can see all the individual glitter. Contains various size and shape glitter in white, red, black, and aqua. Click pics to enlarge.

Next is Love Rocks. The clear base in this one has a bit thinner formula then Vintage Valentine. Again, applied easily and no need to fish for bigger glitters. Shown is 2 coats of Love Rocks over Essie Play Date. Close up is 2 coats over a clear base. Various size and shape glitter in white, black, purple, and silver.

Last up is Love-ly Lavender. Once again, no issues with application. 2 coats over Sinful Colors Cinderella. Close up is 2 coats over a clear base. Various size and shape glitter in lavender, periwinkle, holo, and purple.

I really liked all 3 of these. The most difficult part of these polishes was deciding what to layer them over. Took me a while to make up my mind. Candy Lacquers can be purchased HERE.

Hope you enjoyed today's post. And Happy Valentine's Day to you all!
