Cadillacquer What The Heart Wants swatch and review

Cadillacquer What The Heart Wants
This is a minty green creme with gold circles and squares. Also a bit of gold shimmer, but it isn't that noticeable in most lighting. I needed three coats for full coverage. Photos are with top coat. I did notice that this seemed to take longer to dry. Good wear time.

This is a nice subtle glitter polish. I do like a nice mint shade!

Papillon by Rainbow Honey

Hello all! Today I have a new Rainbow Honey shade for you.

Papillon is a glitter top coat featuring pink holographic butterfly glitter. Also contains pink, purple glitter and some holographic shimmer.  I have this layered over Revlon Ripe Raspberry. No fishing was needed for the large glitter, although you can see in the photos on my index finger that some of them do stick together. I used two coats plus top coat. Mostly smooth, but some edges of the butterflies did flare at the edges. This is common with the larger glitters, so nothing surprising.

Papillon is part of the new spring collection which I believe is releasing in March. For more information and a list of stockists, please visit Rainbow Honey.

Rainbow Honey Magic Cake and The Kraken swatches and review

Good day everyone! Today I have two Rainbow Honey polishes that were sent for review. Magic Cake and The Kraken. Both of these are from the Summer 199X collection.

We'll start with Magic Cake. This is a glitter topper. Neon glitter is various shapes and sizes. Pink, green, yellow and blue. Also some iridescent flecks. I used two coats of Magic Cake over Formula X for Sephora in Zap. No issues to report with application. Didn't need to fish out the larger glitter. Smooth with a top coat.

The Kraken is a blue jelly filled with glitter and shimmer in blues and bronze. It's actually kind of hard to tell. They all blend together really well. Pretty good coverage for a jelly. I used three coats plus top coat. I have to mention that at least on my nail it did tend to have a bit more of a green/teal lean to it. Couldn't quite capture that in the pics. I liked this one too! Normally blues aren't my thing so I was pleasantly surprised.

Picture Polish Hussy

Picture Polish Hussy. A new 2014 collaboration shade designed with the blog Holographic Hussy.

The newest collaboration shades are part of Picture Polishes new linear holographic formulation that are designed to look 3 dimensional in low light and obviously super stunning in sunlight. This is a great purple holo. Full coverage in two coats and absolutely amazing formula. It was one of those polishes that just made me feel happy to be wearing it. I always need a bit of a pick me up in the winter months and this delivered. Photos show two coats plus top coat. Apologies for the macro shot, the holo hurt my camera!

China Glaze Sea Goddess texture polish

I have two picks from the China Glaze Sea Goddess collection. Sand Dolla Make You Holla and Wish A Starfish. This is another textured polish collection. I admit that these are the first textured polishes from CG that I have bought. Their previous textures looked terrible to me. These reminded more of the OPI Liquid Sands, so I thought I would give them a try.

Sand Dolla Make You Holla has a white base with multi coloured glitter. Formula was really sheer. After the first coat you could barely tell that anything was on the nail. To finish off I applied two more thicker coats. It didn't level off that well, and since these are meant to be worn without top coat, there is no way to fix it. I found this took a long time to dry. Maybe that is just because I am used to using fast dry top coat.

Wish On A Starfish is a matte pink with gold glitter. Patrick automatically comes to mind. I can't help it! This applied much better. I used two medium coats, again with no top coat. The gold really jumps out. Dried faster then the first polish, but still slower then a regular polish.

So, I really love Wish On a Starfish. Sand Dolla is a pass for me. I think China Glaze is improving on their textures, but they still have a ways to go! Thanks for having a look at today's post. See you soon!
